Cool new cover art for Book II Polish edition

I don't even have a hardcopy of this myself yet (nor have I quite mastered Polish), but I'm really loving these paintings. I'm fairly sure that this one, too, is by Damian Bajowski, though I haven''t been able to confirm that yet.

At first glance you may only see two ships in this painting. The wow-effect strikes when you notice the third.

Yeah, that's good. Lots of layers in there...

This is off-topic, but I just wanted to mention that I was up with my brother-in-law's family in Aberdeenshire last weekend. A wee cottage in a very rural setting, up a long rocky track with sheep in the fields all around. Inside the house - lots of books. One of them in particular jumped out at me - the UK edition The Red Wolf Conspiracy. It had been consumed with enthusiasm by the voracious 13 year old reader of the family. I was pleased, of course, to be able to say I know you!

David, that's way cool. If I've written the sort of book a 13-year-old wants to read in a cottage in the the Scottish hinterland, I've done something worthwhile in this life.

Is that 13-year-old your nephew, then? You can let him know I'm always glad to hear from readers.

See you very soon at World Fantasy!

Actually... you won't be seeing me. I decided not to go. Just seemed too far away, too expensive, and disruptive at a time when I need badly to focus. So... I transferred my membership.

Maybe next time...
