Actually the excerpt on scribd includes the whole of the prologue, chapter one and chapter two, and has a bit of chapter three.

I haven't read a good fantasy novel in a long time and this was a very enjoyable ride. There was a lot of skipping around in terms of perspectives but once I got used to it, it wasn't too problematic. I just hated getting really involved with one group's perspective of the tale then dropped in another abruptly. This works as a good standalone novel. essayswriters.org/college

I read chapters 1 and 2 it was fantastic the story of these chapters is amazing. The mysterious characters keep the interest till the end of the chapter. Chapter 3 is not complete I want to read the 3rd chapter to end this amazing series of books.
